    "Alfalfa's my boytoy!"

I'm seeing Sleater-Kinney tonight and I can't tell you how EXCITED I am.  I feel like a reckless college student, I have the concert tonight at 8:00 and I have a final at 12:00 the next day.  Ooh, such a bad-ass.

I'll be sure to try and get some illegal pictures at the concert.

I hope everyone is having a good start of summer and to all my pals who just finished their first year of college...we made it out alive, guys! :D

  • "I don't know enough about geology to answer that question."  This is what my GEOLOGY professor told us today.

Things are going pretty well.  That is only because I have no papers due soon.  In a week or so, but not now.

I have a geology midterm next week, so this week and this weekend I am going to study study.  I hope that I do well on it, because other than the midterm, there are only a few other chances to actually get credit.

It is simply beautiful in Santa Cruz and I find myself thinking about how lucky I am to be where it is so nice outside.

Half way through the quarter.  So very nice, indeed.

Sex and the City tonight. Hell yeah.

Time to go. Bye for now.

  • "Apples and knives and fingers do not mix."

Yesterday I had the unpleasant experience of slicing my finger with a knife while trying to cut an apple.  I have this persistance to always cut my apples into little slices.  Had it not been for this persistance, I would not have a heavily bandaged finger right now.  After I cut myself I held my finger in Quiznos napkins (because it's much more cost effective to steal restaurant napkins instead of buying a pack at Long's) for around fifteen minutes for the blood to stop.  It was definitely a bleeder.  A flesh wound.  Yep.

This apple eating is part of my New Year's resolution (Grumble.  I hate to call it a resolution) to eat healthier.  And workout.  Which I did today.  Yesterday, Laura said after my apple incident, "See that's what you get for trying to be healthy."  I secretly hoped that I wouldn't get ran over by a bus on the way to the gym.

I am generally am a stranger to gyms.  Today I ventured out, however, and low and behold, I still felt like a complete stranger.  Meh.  But I'm going to do it, I am going to go to the gym three times a week, even if it kills me.  And it probably will.

    Manuel rocks.  'Nough said.

    Off to homework.  Yeehah.

"Wow! THAT WAS WICKED!" - little boy in "The Incredibles"

Well, I left the walls of my apartment that I have grown so attatched to in the past week, and last night I went and saw "The Incredibles." Damn, those Pixar people are talented.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and I wish that I had Violet's super powers.  Because most of the time I either, a) want to disappear, or b) put a shiny, purple force field around myself that inhibits anyone or anything from coming near.  Uhhuh.

I'm stalling doing homework by cleaning like a mad woman.  And making a post.  Hurray.

Today is my official, "Megan-Reads-A-Lot" day.  I have two readings for Writing, one for Philosophy, and a chapter or two to read for Geology.  The reading, oh, it makes my head hurts.

When I went to take my shower this morning, I was unpleasantly surprised to find some nice mold growing in our shower.  I mustered up the energy and scrubbed that shower clean.  I still don't trust that it's clean though.  I guess it's hard to trust a shower that seven people shower in usually every day.  I say usually, yes.  Hey, I'm human, I'll skip showers for a day or two, but I have the sneaking suspicion that some of my housemates are adhering to the Santa Cruz way of life of not showering a little too seriously.

Oh, how much can I write to procrastinate even more.

I miss my Mom and Dad.  And Annie.  And Manuel.  Bitching and whining time over.

I finally got my poster for my birthday from Sokhom.  I love you, Sokhom, and thank you again so much.

Hurray for corndogs.  I'm off to eat a few and start my GRAND DAY OF READING.

One day, just maybe, I will learn how to write like this woman.  I've been reading for around two years now and I have the habit of ending my day reading her site and giggling.  She makes my day and she is a very talented woman.
